The Otto Group is restructuring its corporate communications to make it future ready and has been able to bolster the team by securing the services of an outstanding expert: Annette Siragusano, former communications manager at Comdirect and content strategy expert at Engel & Völkers, will be the new Division Manager Corporate Communications at the international retail and services group of companies from 1 October.
Annette Siragusano will lead the Otto Group’s Corporate Communications team with the other division managers, Martin Zander and Bernd Rakers (Public Affairs), and will be instrumental in strategically guiding the Otto Group’s Corporate Communications, as well providing essential impetus for the restructuring.
This includes expanding the Corporate Communications Newsroom to make it future ready, and jointly managing it. This newsroom is the hub that manages internal and external communications for the international retail and services group and is organised in specialised content and channel teams. One of the most important goals of the restructuring process is to ensure that communication becomes more agile, efficient and goal-oriented.
Annette Siragusano was most recently Global Head of Content Strategy and Cross Channel Campaign Management at Engel & Völkers, where she led several teams, including Digital Communication & International Enablement, Social Media and Content Creation, focusing on audio, video and SEO. Prior to that, the 45-year-old was a highly successful Head of Corporate Communications at Comdirect Bank AG, where she was responsible in particular for Corporate Communications, Internal Communications and Foundation Communications.
Thomas Voigt, Group Vice President Corporate Communications and Political Affairs at the Otto Group: “We have known about and appreciated Annette Siragusano and her outstanding work for many years now. With her on board, the Otto Group is gaining an extremely experienced and skilled communicator and team player with whom we will continue to push limits in corporate communications, even in these very challenging times. I am delighted that Annette has chosen to work with us and look forward to our fruitful collaboration.”
