With effect from 1 March 2025, Andrea Becker, currently business finance vice president at Zalando SE Berlin, will join OTTO’s Management Board in Hamburg, heading finance, human resources and customer service. She succeeds Katy Roewer, who will become the Otto Group's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the same time. Petra Scharner-Wolff, current CFO of the Otto Group, will take over the role of CEO of the Group from March 2025.
In Andrea Becker, OTTO has gained an extremely accomplished, experienced and internationally-minded manager for the four-member Management Board. The business and finance expert will be responsible for the finance, human resources and customer service divisions at the Otto Group's largest single company.
Andrea Becker has made a name for herself in numerous management roles as a top manager and outstanding leader in the retail segment. At Zalando, for example, she currently heads the finance division for the B2C business with some 120 employees, having built up the business finance organization and creating one of the prerequisites for profitable growth. Between 2005 and 2021, the economist previously held various local and global teams in various functions, not least in the treasury, for the consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble. Prior to joining Zalando, she was CFO of the Personal Health Care Europe unit.
Andrea Becker studied in Maastricht and Madrid and holds a master's degree in international economics and management. She is married and the mother of two children.
Dr. Marcus Ackermann, Executive Board Member for Multichannel Distance Selling the Otto Group: “Katy Roewer has had an extraordinary impact on the Service & HR divisions in recent years thanks to her leadership personality. I am all the more pleased therefore that, given her move to the Otto Group, we have succeeded in filling her position not only promptly, but above all with such an experienced and accomplished expert as Andrea Becker. Not only does she have a wealth of business and financial expertise, she has also impressively demonstrated her talent for empathetic and strong leadership of very different teams and people in a variety of management roles. I'm looking forward to working together with her.”
Andrea Becker, designated Management Board member for finance, human resources and customer service at OTTO: “I am really impressed by the consistency and professionalism with which OTTO has pursued its own transformation over the past years and decades – growing from an e-commerce pioneer and online retailer to one of the leading modern shopping platforms. I am delighted and proud to be able to play an active role in shaping this path in the future as a member of the Management Board.”
